We're seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with a strong background in
ontology modeling using Foundry and AI/machine learning to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in designing, developing, and deploying solutions on the Palantir platform, from data ingestion to advanced analytics and application development. This role is perfect for a senior professional who is an expert in leveraging Palantir's capabilities to solve complex data challenges and build innovative, data-driven applications. You'll be a key player in our organization, leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and shaping our data strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of end-to-end data pipelines and solutions using the Palantir platform (Foundry and/or Gotham).
- Architect robust and scalable data models within Palantir, ensuring data integrity, quality, and optimal performance for downstream applications and analytics.
- Utilize AI/ML capabilities within Palantir to build, train, and deploy models that solve business problems and generate valuable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of best practices.
- Stay current with the latest features and updates of the Palantir platform and related technologies, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of our Palantir-based systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Palantir FDE, with a deep understanding of its core components, including Ontology, Contour, Code Workbook, and Slate.
- Proven expertise in ontology modeling, including relational and graph-based models, and a strong understanding of data warehousing principles.
- Solid experience with AI/ML concepts and practical application, including model development, deployment, and monitoring, preferably within the Palantir environment.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data transformation and analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Palantir certification(s) are highly desirable.
