Position Summary
As an Enterprise Architect at Effectual, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will bridge business and technology, working with stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to design and implement strategies that optimize performance, scalability, and security. This role requires not only a strong foundation in enterprise architecture but also the ability to assess infrastructure, applications, and business processes holistically.
A Glimpse into the Daily Routine of an Enterprise Architect
Your day-to-day will span across infrastructure, applications, and enterprise strategy. You will review customer environments, including hardware inventory, servers and associated systems, and network configurations, ensuring systems are designed and optimized effectively. You will evaluate how applications are built, from front-end servers through middleware to database backends, collecting and validating dependencies and connections critical to migration and modernization planning.From the enterprise perspective, you will analyze projects and technical solutions in the context of business needs, align initiatives with customer objectives, and provide clarity and documentation to senior leadership—including C-suite executives.
You will lead digital transformation, define architecture principles, develop enterprise frameworks, modernize legacy applications, and ensure the customer’s IT strategy aligns with long-term growth goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap, and principles that align with business goals and drive innovation.
- Review infrastructure components—including compute, storage, and network configurations—to ensure robust, scalable, and secure foundations.
- Assess and document application architectures, validating dependencies, integrations, and modernization readiness.
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide systems, applications, and integrations.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on their potential impact and applicability.
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and development teams to prioritize initiatives and drive consensus.
- Create and document technical processes, reporting standards, and architectural reviews to support transparency and governance.
- Present technical and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, up to the C-suite.
- Provide architectural oversight during pre-sales and post-sales cycles, ensuring proposed solutions are implementable and aligned with client goals.
- Lead the transformation of legacy systems and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide cross-functional teams, building both technical and soft skill capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, and technology leadership.
- Hands-on expertise in infrastructure review and optimization (compute, storage, network).
- Strong knowledge of application architecture patterns and modernization practices.
- Experience aligning technical solutions with business objectives, including executive-level engagement.
- Expertise with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and API design.
- 10+ years of architecture and implementation experience with at least 5 of the following: AWS Cloud, HashiCorp, Databricks, Snowflake, VMware, Kafka, Kubernetes.
- Ability to travel up based on business needs and to work across EST, CST, and PST.

Salary Range for this position: $160,000 - $195,000CA ID: IT10000352 "Salary ranges provided are for informational purposes only and may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
