DevSecOps Engineer


Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to be an integral part of a collaborative team supporting USSOCOM Special Operations Forces Mission Program by providing cloud migration solutions, including application assessment, security requirement identification (IaaS vs. PaaS, bring-your-own-ATO, control inheritance), and architecture recommendations, resulting in seamless migrations. DevSecOps Engineers will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to complete successful cloud-to-cloud migrations and are currently consulting on hardware-to-cloud migrations. The successful candidate will be comfortable in and have previous experience in Agile development, DevSecOps, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), data engineering, and cybersecurity environments. The candidate will be located in Tampa, FL and expected to be on-site at a customer location in a hybrid capacity. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Deploying and maintaining core platform services on cloud-native architectures.
  • Integrate Kubernetes platforms with enterprise services to meet organizational security and compliance standards.
  • Implementing secure automation, effective monitoring, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Deploying and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines across various environments.
  • Collaborating with a cross-functional team to support and implementing the latest technologies.
  • Developing and refining best practices to improve deployment quality and velocity.
  • Applying industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree; or in lieu of degree, 3 years of equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years of proven experience in designing and architecting cloud infrastructure and systems on commercial platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with designing and deploying self-managed Kubernetes solutions, including Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, RedHat OpenShift, and Rancher RKE.
  • Expertise in integrating and providing cloud platform services within a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Proficiency with Docker/OCI containers.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Concourse, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
  • Security + certification.
  • US Citizenship and a Top Secret Security clearance. 

Desired Qualifications:


  • Masters Degree in  computer science or related field. 
  • Industry certifications, such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS, are a plus.

This role is based out of Tampa, FL.
