We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take a pivotal role in developing and scaling our applications built on the Cloudflare suite, including Workers and Pages. These services are integral to powering multiple products within the VitalSource ecosystem.

We're looking for a technically adept engineer who can take high-level guidance and independently drive projects, breaking down complex challenges into actionable tasks and delivering innovative, scalable solutions. If you have a strong foundation in server-side JavaScript (as outlined in our required qualifications) and are eager to collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to transform ideas into impactful products, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Can work on new features or address issues independently once guidance is received from the Engineering Manager.
  • Attends and contributes to company meetings and team ceremonies. Answers questions from other engineers during these meetings.
  • Can mentor Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers.
  • Supplies code reviews and feedback to other members of the engineering team. This could include pair programming.
  • Works with other engineering teams on cross-team projects. Helps coordinate tasks and assignments within cross-team projects.
  • Can help design and document new feature architecture for review and acceptance by the Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer.
  • Stay current on new technologies and help make recommendations for and against their use within the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in software development with strong development, debugging, testing and analytical skills
  • Expertise in JavaScript
  • Proficiency with TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of server-side JavaScript development principles
  • Experience with Cloudflare and Cloudflare Workers is a plus
  • Experience with React and Node.js is a plus

Salary Range: $112,000 to $143,000What We Offer:
