Cybersecurity Professional Description
The Cybersecurity Professional primary responsibility is to protect the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of Beast Code’s Critical Information and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure through the design and application of technical, operational, and administrative security controls. This critical position must be an independent, driven, multi-tasking Beast who can successfully manage Cybersecurity activities across multiple authorization boundaries both physical and in the cloud.
Such activities include not only expert analysis, consultation, and security steering, but also all the low-level, functions needed to promote effective Cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the workforce by ensuring security and compliance to our ever-changing environment
- Work closely and collaboratively with IT to engineer infrastructure changes
- Collaborate with development teams to close vulnerabilities in software pipelines
- Monitor, configure, and maintain firewall system
- Conduct security audits
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) tasks to obtain Authorization to Operate (ATO)
- Assist Cybersecurity team with security patching
- Create and maintain server documentation, procedures, and diagrams

The Cybersecurity Professional safeguards the company’s digital assets, networks, and data. This role protects against financial loss, reputational damage, and disruptions by identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance. Thus, we need you to carry these specific skills in your toolbelt:
Qualifications:
- Proven experience engineering security solutions for enterprise infrastructures
- Deep understanding risk compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnosis, technical, and analytical skills
- Experience of being a self-starter working both independently and collaboratively
- Experience working the RMF lifecycle to obtain ATO
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent IAT Level II certification required
- ISC² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred

Cybersecurity Professional I: $61,300.00-$73,800.00Cybersecurity Professional II: $75,000.00-$91,800.00Cybersecurity Professional III: $96,200.00-$115,300.00Cybersecurity Professional IV $117,900.00-$138,900.00Cybersecurity Professional V: $139,300.00-$164,300.00 Cybersecurity Professional I Works on projects and matters of limited complexity in a support role where work is actively managed. Typically requires 0-2 years of industry experience. Cybersecurity Professional II Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.Cybersecurity Professional III Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Expected to take the initiative to improve development projects and infrastructure. Contributes to complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.Cybersecurity Professional IV A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. Typically requires 7 years minimum of industry experience. Cybersecurity Professional V Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in “solution” or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.
Other Requirements:
- Due to the nature of our work, it is mandatory that you are a U.S. Citizen and able to comply with Government regulations
- Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Beast Code is a drug free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing as per all applicable laws
