We provide a 12k-square-foot space in the Union Market District for daily work/private meetings/events, we host our own high-leverage events, we provide educational content and mentorship, we share policy intelligence, and we are building a badass network of technologists, VCs, policymakers, military, industry, and philanthropists. America, DC, and the West WIN if we unite and align these problem solvers.

What Will You Do?

Everything. Here’s the thing: we are a startup. You’ve gotta be an athlete. You’ll help plan and execute events, support our members and partners, solve their problems, be a STATION DC evangelist, keep our HQ physically excellent, manage social media, help fundraise, test new things, be yourself, fail, learn, sell, network, mop the floors. Whatever it takes. We create remarkable experiences and advance the missions of our members and partners – and you’ll help. We could lie and say that you’ll only do x, y, z things. But we don’t have egos and we embrace reality. It’s the only way to improve. 

How Will You Know If You Are Succeeding?

If you create such REMARKABLE experiences that every time that you interact with a member, partner, or prospect they tell someone else about it, and how ridiculously valuable, novel, different/unique, fun, or helpful it was. Some measurable metrics include:
  • 100% of new members meet at least 3 relevant people in their first month.
  • 100% of mentors, members, and sponsors log at least 3 successful, high-value connections or outcomes per quarter.
  • 100% of inbound partnership/member/event inquiries responded to within 24 hours.
  • 100% of customer service tickets are resolved in <24 hours.
  • Membership retention >90% as we go into 2026.
  • Sponsorship retention >90% as we go into 2026.
  • >50 mentors doing monthly office hours as we go into 2026 and >90% mentor retention.
  • >55% of new members and sponsors are sourced via direct referrals.
  • Average NPS from members, mentors, and event attendees is >70.
  • >95% of event attendees rate experience as 9/10 or higher.
  • 0 member complaints about physical space cleanliness, functionality, or hospitality each month.
  • You propose and execute at least one new ops or experience improvement per quarter.

You execute with speed but don’t sacrifice diligence. You are unreasonably hospitable. You sweat the little things. You are conscientious. You can “read the room.” You embrace hard things and new situations. You are intrinsically motivated. You have a lot of ambition. You love watching others succeed and genuinely want to help them accomplish their goals. You respond well to coaching and don’t need hand holding. You aren’t afraid to try things, make decisions, fail, own it, and not do it again. You live in DC and can work 5-days-a-week in the office. You are obsessed with improving. Maybe that means that you’ve previously worked with startups, in hospitality, VC, or were in the military.

  • $75,000 annual salary
  • 4 weeks paid time off (one week is allocated between Christmas and New Year’s)
