Database Administrator III


A-TEK, and its subsidiary, Mackson Consulting, are at the forefront of digital innovation, offering advanced IT services and solutions with a focus on emerging technologies. We specialize in supporting health, federal civilian, and national security missions, serving a diverse array of U.S. Departments.We are seeking a Database Administrator III to manage SQL Server environments and data operations supporting enterprise applications for a federal contract. You will oversee performance optimization, data integrity, and secure access to critical data systems while collaborating with developers, analysts, and system engineers.

 

This position is on-site in Washington, DC.  The ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance (Active Preferred) is required for consideration for this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Administer SQL Server databases, including updates, tuning, and patching.
  • Implement stored procedures, views, and data models for .NET apps.
  • Design and execute ETL operations and Power BI reports.
  • Ensure data privacy and FISMA-compliant handling of CUI and PII.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and after-action reporting for incidents.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4+ years in database administration with MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, data quality assurance, and security.
  • Knowledge of TLS/SSL, encryption, and audit logging practices.
