In this role, you’ll develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning solutions using Python and Node.js, helping Verto deliver smarter, faster, and more scalable products.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning systems leveraging GCP and AWS ML ecosystems to support billions of dollars in transactions.
- Architect and implement end-to-end ML pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment into production.
- Develop robust, feature-rich APIs and backend systems to integrate machine learning models into existing products and processes.
- Collaborate across teams to ideate and prototype ML solutions for fraud detection, payment optimization, and automation, creating significant business impact.
- Experiment with advanced ML techniques, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), for innovative product applications.
- Implement monitoring and maintenance frameworks for production ML systems, ensuring performance and accuracy over time.
- Act as a technical leader, setting direction for ML architecture and processes while coaching team members on best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ML tools and frameworks, evaluating and integrating them into our tech stack.
Who you are:
We’re looking for ML professionals who are passionate about using machine learning to solve complex problems and improve user experiences. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and excel at collaborating across teams to bring ideas to life.Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of industry experience in developing and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Expertise in Python and Node.js, with demonstrated experience in backend systems and API development.
- Strong knowledge of AWS (SageMaker, Rekognition, etc.) and GCP ML tools (Vertex AI, AutoML, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, versioning, and monitoring of ML models.
- Proven track record in building scalable ML pipelines for streaming data and high-traffic systems.
- Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn and data tools such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and drive projects forward independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced ML systems, including LLMs and RAG technologies.
- Knowledge of distributed computing and large-scale system design principles.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and working in collaborative cross-functional teams.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
