The Customer Solutions Software Engineer
plays a critical role in the development and deployment of data solutions for new and existing customers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of data pipelines and robot configurations across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python, data analysis, and problem-solving, with a passion for working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities


  • New Customer Development & Deployment: Lead the configuration and tuning of the Simbe data pipeline for new customers. Collaborate with the sales and implementation teams to understand customer requirements, ensuring alignment between customer needs and our software solutions.
  • Support for Existing Customers: Support existing customers in deploying additional robots by adjusting and fine-tuning data pipelines and configurations to accommodate new robot integrations. Collaborate with customer success teams to understand the evolving needs of existing customers and ensure the smooth scaling of their systems. Troubleshoot and resolve any data pipeline or robot configuration issues that arise during the deployment of additional robots.
  • Software Releases & Testing: Manage software releases and testing processes for meeting customer needs, ensuring all necessary updates and bug fixes are incorporated. Perform rigorous testing to ensure that all data pipelines operate reliably and efficiently in new environments.
  • Audit & Data Quality Assurance (QA): Support data audits and maintain high standards for data quality throughout the deployment lifecycle. Identify and resolve issues related to data integrity and pipeline performance, ensuring optimal quality for customers.
  • Neural Network Training & Evaluation: Assist in gathering data, training models, and evaluating neural networks for improved pipeline performance. Contribute to optimizing neural network algorithms for better data processing, automation, and overall system efficacy.
  • Tooling Improvement: Develop and enhance tooling for better management of new deployments, improving operational efficiency and reducing deployment time. Create and maintain internal tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and facilitate smoother deployment and testing processes.

Qualifications


  • Technical qualifications: BS or MS in Computer Science or related field highly recommended but not required. Proficient in Python programming, with experience in building and optimizing data pipelines. Strong analytical skills with solid experience in data sleuthing, utilizing pandas and Excel for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with Linux operating systems, comfortable using the terminal for routine tasks and troubleshooting. Experience with web programming is a plus but not required.
  • Experience & Abilities: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with computer vision, software, data, and customer-facing teams. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop efficient solutions. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity and pipeline performance. Experience in neural network training and data evaluation for machine learning tasks is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities and customer needs. Autonomous and independent, with a sense of ownership and accountability for assigned projects.

$80,000 - $120,000 a yearThe base salary offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
