📍 Lawrence, MA (Onsite with flexibility to work from the Boston office 1–2 days per week)💰 $135,000–$150,000 + Generous Benefits🎯 401(k) with 3% Match | Generous PTO | Long-Term Growth OpportunityA privately owned real estate investment and development company that has been building and managing properties for over 30 years is seeking a Finance Director to help shape and lead the finance function for its growing portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role where you'll partner directly with executive leadership and help build processes, structure, and best practices from the ground up.What You'll Own
- Oversee accounting operations across multiple real estate entities
- Manage property accounting, property taxes, and insurance activities
- Lead CAM reconciliations across the portfolio
- Handle construction accounting for three active developments, including a major mixed-use "live/work/play" project currently underway
- Develop and manage WIP reporting, lien releases, and asset component tracking processes
- Build accounting workflows, SOPs, and financial controls for the real estate division
- Partner closely with the SVP of Asset Management to help establish and scale the finance function
- Supervise and mentor a team of 2–3 accounting professionals
- Introduce new ideas, efficiencies, and best practices to strengthen the organization
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all entities
- Utilize Yardi to manage accounting and property-related functions
