Position Summary:
Mohawk Global Trade Advisors (MGTA) is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable FTZ Trade Advisor to support our clients in managing and optimizing their Foreign-Trade Zone operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting duty deferral and reduction strategies through effective FTZ program administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer day-to-day operations of FTZ programs for MGTA clients, including inventory control, admissions, and removals.
Prepare and submit required filings to CBP, including e214s, annual reports, and zone status changes.
Maintain compliance with FTZ regulations under 19 CFR Part 146 and CBP guidelines.
Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate FTZ transactions.
Monitor and reconcile FTZ inventory records and ensure alignment with ERP and WMS systems.
Support FTZ activation, boundary modification, and production authority applications.
Assist in internal and external audits, including CBP reviews and client compliance assessments.
Provide training and guidance to client personnel on FTZ procedures and best practices.
Identify opportunities for duty savings and operational efficiencies within FTZ operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
HTS Classification
Research client product specifications to determine and document the proper HTS Classification based on the Harmonized Tariff System and regulatory rulings

Provide trade compliance-related expertise and compliance project leadership to meet the needs of MGTA clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in FTZ operations, customs compliance, or trade compliance.
Strong knowledge of U.S. FTZ regulations and CBP procedures.
Experience with FTZ software platforms (e.g., Integration Point, QuestaWeb, etc.) preferred.
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Zone Specialist (CZS) a plus.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
