Network and NW Security Engineer L3

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level network and security infrastructure across complex environments.
• Configure, optimize, and maintain advanced security solutions including firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), VPNs, and secure access controls.
• Lead high-complexity troubleshooting efforts and provide technical escalation support for L2 engineers.
• Design, deploy, and manage VPN technologies including IPsec, SSL VPN, DMVPN, and VTI-based architectures.
• Architect and maintain scalable IPv4 and IPv6 network environments aligned with enterprise standards.
• Manage and optimize enterprise security platforms, particularly Fortinet and Palo Alto ecosystems.
• Continuously monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve network security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to enhance overall security posture.
• Participate in architecture reviews, capacity planning, and strategic infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in network engineering and network security roles.
• Certifications required:
• NSE6 (Fortinet)
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet ecosystem:
• FortiGate
• FortiAnalyzer
• FortiManager
• FortiSwitch
• FortiAP
• Strong expertise in firewall configuration, IPS systems, VPN technologies, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Deep experience with Cisco networking technologies including IOS and NX-OS.
• Proven hands-on experience with VPN and tunneling technologies (DMVPN, VTI, IPsec, SSL VPN).
• Strong background in network design, implementation, and optimization (IPv4 and IPv6).
• Experience working with routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, WAN optimization, and load balancing solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and incident resolution skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure enterprise environments.
• Fluent in Arabic (required).
