Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced MSSQL Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-level Microsoft SQL Server environments. The role requires strong expertise in database administration, high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and performance tuning across complex infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across multiple environments
- Ensure database performance, security, stability, and scalability
- Design and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
- Perform regular backups, restores, and recovery operations
- Monitor database systems and proactively resolve issues
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize SQL queries and database structures
- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
- Implement and enforce database policies, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support business-critical systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in core database administration
- At least 5 years of experience specifically in Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Strong experience in HA/DR environments and cluster troubleshooting
- Certifications required:
- MCSA: Windows Server 2016 (or equivalent)
- MCSA: SQL Database Administration
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- MCSE: Productivity
- MCSA: Office 365
- Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be based in Saudi Arabia or eligible to work there
