About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Applications Administrator to join our Enterprise Applications team in Bangalore. This role serves as the primary operational owner for a core set of enterprise platforms including Alfresco Content Services, Jira Service Management, Flexera One, and other applications across the portfolio. You will work within a blended global team, partnering daily with platform leads, integration engineers, and US-based stakeholders to keep systems reliable, compliant, and continuously improving.
Why This Role Exists
Jeppesen ForeFlight is executing an active content management migration (Alfresco), an ITSM platform replacement (Jira Service Management via a Accenture SOW), and an ongoing software asset management program (Flexera One). Each of these platforms requires dedicated, skilled administration to sustain operations and support delivery. This role consolidates that coverage into a single, accountable position embedded in our Bangalore team.

Rationale
Platform Depth
Alfresco, JSM, and Flexera each require specialized configuration and operational knowledge. A generalist approach creates fragility; a dedicated administrator provides consistent ownership.
Migration Support
The active Alfresco migration from a legacy ECM platform requires a technical owner who can manage both the source environment and destination configuration through cutover.
ITSM Continuity
The JSM implementation is running under an Accenture engagement. A permanent administrator ensures capability stays in-house after the SOW closes.
Asset Governance
Flexera One license data drives renewal decisions and compliance reporting. This requires a consistent administrator, not ad hoc coverage.
Global Team Model
Our Bangalore team operates under a BOT model. Adding this role deepens the team's operational capacity and reduces dependency on US-side resources for routine platform work.
Key Responsibilities
Alfresco Content Services
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Alfresco Content Services environments across dev, test, and production
- Administer repositories, content models, metadata schemas, and storage configurations
- Manage Solr indexing, search tuning, and overall repository performance
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot ingestion, workflows, permissions, search, and integration issues
- Manage users, roles, permissions, and authentication integrations (Active Directory, LDAP, SAML SSO)
- Apply patches, hotfixes, and upgrades following enterprise change management practices
- Support content migration activities from legacy ECM platforms through cutover and stabilization
Jira Service Management
- Administer JSM projects, queues, SLA configurations, workflows, and automation rules
- Manage agent and customer portal configurations, request types, and form layouts
- Support onboarding of new service teams and assist with incident, change, and problem management processes
- Coordinate with the ITSM lead on configuration governance and platform standards
Flexera One
- Administer Flexera One for software asset management, license compliance, and IT asset lifecycle tracking
- Maintain accuracy across hardware and software inventory data
- Generate and distribute compliance reports and renewal forecasting data to business and IT stakeholders
General Enterprise Applications
- Provide Tier 2/3 operational support across enterprise applications including integrations and third-party connectors
- Participate in on-call rotation and support critical incident response for production issues
- Document configurations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures in the team knowledge base
- Collaborate with integration engineers on API-based and middleware-based integrations
- Contribute to platform evaluations, proofs of concept, and migration projects as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise applications in a corporate IT environment
- Demonstrated experience with Alfresco Content Services including repository administration, content models, and Solr
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Java application servers (Tomcat) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
- Familiarity with authentication protocols including Active Directory, LDAP, and SAML/SSO
- Proficiency with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with log-based root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with Flexera One or a comparable software asset management platform
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid deployments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to REST APIs, Web Scripts, or integration middleware
- Alfresco certification or equivalent vendor training
- Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle EBS, NetSuite) or adjacent enterprise platforms (Salesforce, UKG, Okta)
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a PE-backed or carve-out technology environment
