Summary
The finishing and assembly technician is responsible for complex assemblies, manual machine processes and handling precision parts with care through the final stages of manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following while other duties may be assigned.
- Understand/Follow blueprints and written instructions to perform finishing operations and assemblies
- Carefully handle parts to maintain integrity while working to perform finishing operations
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Operate equipment: cleaning, abrasive blasting, etc.
- Assemble complex medical and aerospace components while maintain efficacy checks and test requirements
- Use manual machines while adhering to safety instructions and parameters
- Maintain constant throughput to help achieve monthly metrics and customer delivery dates
- Communicate concerns about processes or parts in a timely manner and help determine/troubleshoot solutions
- Adhere to all practices, quality system guidelines, and governing body standards

Education and/or Experience
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience working in similar position within precision manufacturing
- Technical Experience:
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience with finishing practices (cleaning, abrasive blasting, deburring)
- Experience with understanding and interpreting blueprints and/or specifications
- Effective communicator
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter
