Position Summary
Provides clinical oral hygiene services including collecting medical and dental histories from patients, taking dental x-rays, dental charting and updating patient’s dental record in Dentrix, dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application and fluoride application consistent with accepted professional practices and standards and in compliance with applicable state law and the center’s clinical protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited school of dental hygiene
- Unrestricted license to practice Oral Hygiene in the State of Maryland.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with fellow healthcare providers.
- Ability to work under general supervision according to establish guidelines by Maryland Board of Dental Examiners
- Ability to perform work independently.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills required.
- Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges required.
