- Managing parts excellence in order to obtain Gold measured by CAT
- Ensures compliance to vendor interface requirements.
- Exercise judgement on escalation decisions, Manage the effectiveness of the parts operations.
- Ensure resource capacity planning and load balancing between team members.
- Building sustainable competence of all team members.
- Ensures a no-fault audit report for his area of responsibility. (Contamination and Parts Audit)
- Ensures good corporate governance compliance, Manage related Capex and operation costs.
- Monitor and trend analysis of lead times and back orders and ensure corrective action is taken on deviation of standards. This will include OTIF.
- To manage the parts teams that conduct the processes for all parts operations and deliver on all customer parts needs and expectations within the region,
- Responsible for direct face-to-face interaction with the customer.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Minimum Requirements: Grade 12. • BSc. Industrial Engineering or National Diploma (Industrial Engineering) - advantageous• 8-10 Years relevant experience in managing parts operations • Business development skills and knowledge, • Track record leading people in a team-based/participative environment. • Business and financial acumen, the ability to make sound judgement calls is critical.• Relevant experience in Sales, Warehousing and distribution management (Supply chain management) , Inventory Control and 6 Sigma, Excellent SAP skills in SD/MM
