POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced Propulsion Senior Engineer – Pressure & Fluid Systems to own the end-to-end technical execution of a bipropellant feed system from requirements definition through design, build, integration, test, and flight readiness. You will lead cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver to aggressive cost and schedule targets while maintaining safety and configuration discipline. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on propulsion hardware experience with strong technical leadership, clear communication, and a bias for execution.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Owns the end-to-end technical execution of spacecraft pressure control and fluid systems – including COPVs, flow control devices (valves, regulators, manifolds, filters) from requirements through design, build, integration, test and flight readiness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in propellant feed system and pressurization system design, providing technical authority on system architecture, component selection, and interface definition across the development lifecycle.
- Perform detailed modeling, analysis and simulation of fluid systems using tools such as GFSSP, ANSYS, Fluent to evaluate system performance, fluid dynamics, thermal effects and transient behaviors.
- Perform detailed sizing and selection of fluid system components, ensuring compatibility with performance, environmental, material and other requirements.
- Define, plan, and execute system and component level tests including development, qualification and acceptance testing anchor analytical models and validate simulations against test data.
- Lead and participate in internal and external design and gate reviews, trade studies and subassembly integration activities; ensure compliance with system requirements and program milestones.
- Coordinate and manage technical requirements and design certification activities with external vendors and suppliers, interface on cost, schedule, design, manufacturing and acceptance.
- Define and control functional and physical interfaces between the fluid/pressure systems and vehicle level systems, collaborating with structures, thermal, avionics, and software teams.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Responsible for delivering against safety, cost, and schedule targets.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Aerospace, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline required; advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated depth in pressure control and fluid systems design
- Significant hands-on experience with propellant feed system design, development, qualification and integration, including COPVS, valves, regulators, filters, manifolds and instrumentation
- Expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer with demonstrated application to propulsion systems
- Experience with oxygen compatibility requirements and assessments
- Experience coordinating with external vendors on technical requirements, design verification, cost and schedule performance
- 3D modeling software experience: SolidWorks preferred
