IT Engineer Technical Support & Systems Administration)

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and IT equipment
• Support system upgrades, software patches, and security updates
• Maintain and update IT documentation, asset inventory, and configuration records
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and system issues
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including access controls and data protection procedures
• Support data backup and recovery processes
• Participate in IT projects, system improvements, and process optimization initiatives
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or system administrators when needed

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Interest or foundational knowledge in cybersecurity principles (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
