The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead the development and execution of strategic talent acquisition plans while overseeing the recruitment, retention, and development of talented individuals. This role demands a proactive and innovative approach in planning and implementing a robust Talent Acquisition strategy.
Education and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, or a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or similar HR roles.
- Experience in a high-growth, life sciences, biotech, or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in full-cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques.
- Familiarity with diverse selection methods and experience in posting jobs on social media and job boards.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS, ATS, Sourcing, and Recruitment Marketing tools. UKG/UtiliPro experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, critical thinking ability, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
- Sound knowledge of Human Resources law and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility for occasional weekends/evenings and travel, particularly during intensive recruitment periods or to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and assess employee needs, aligning talent acquisition plans with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute sustainable talent acquisition and retention strategies in line with company objectives.
- Design and implement employer branding activities, fostering a positive image and encouraging employee advocacy.
- Plan and execute employee referral programs, enhancing the recruitment pipeline.
- Utilize HRIS and Recruitment Marketing tools for effective talent sourcing and acquisition.
- Source and evaluate candidates for open positions, conducting interviews, screening calls, and administering tests as necessary.
- Analyze hiring needs and provide accurate employee hiring forecasts.
- Review employment applications and background check reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the recruitment process to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct candidate and employee satisfaction evaluations and workshops to improve processes.
- Plan and implement procedures for enhancing the candidate experience and suggesting measures for employee retention.
- Lead, supervise, and manage the recruiting team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Employ various sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles and participate in career fairs and similar events.
- Determine and create HR and recruiting KPIs, preparing and presenting comprehensive reports.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

- Ability to align recruiting strategies with business goals and proactively forecast hiring needs across departments.
- Proven capability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing recruitment teams while driving accountability and results.
- Mastery of end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and onboarding.
- Strong skills in employer branding, social recruiting, and creating compelling candidate experiences that enhance the organization’s reputation.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms (UKG/Ultipro strongly preferred), with an emphasis on data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Ability to define, track, and report on recruiting KPIs to inform continuous improvement and decision-making.
- Focus on creating engaging, equitable, and streamlined recruitment experiences from initial outreach through hire.
- Knowledge of employment law and best practices in compliant hiring procedures.
- Skilled in building relationships and collaborating with hiring managers, senior leadership, and external vendors to meet hiring goals.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions in a dynamic environment.
