ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a certified Odoo Techno-Functional Consultant who can own the full client engagement lifecycle — from presales through go-live and beyond. This role sits at the intersection of business consulting and technical delivery: you will run discovery sessions and solution demos with clients, translate requirements into functional specs, manage and guide the Pakistan-based back-office development team, and personally handle configurations and custom module management. You will be the face of Company's Odoo practice in Riyadh.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Presales & Business Development
- Lead Odoo product demonstrations tailored to prospect pain points and industry verticals
- Develop and present proposals, solution scopes, and pricing with support from the commercial team
- Conduct discovery workshops and document high-level business requirements for RFP/RFQ responses
- Represent the company at client meetings, sector events, and partner activities in KSA
Project Management & Client Delivery
- Own the end-to-end delivery of Odoo implementations from kick-off to go-live and post-launch support
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, track milestones, and manage risks and change requests
- Serve as the primary client point of contact onsite in Riyadh; conduct weekly steering calls and status reviews
- Coordinate and direct the back-office Pakistan team for development tasks, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Manage UAT cycles, training sessions, and cutover plans with client stakeholders
Functional Consulting
- Gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements (BRD/FSD) across Odoo modules including Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, Sales, Purchase, CRM, HR, and Project
- Configure and localize Odoo to meet KSA regulatory requirements (VAT/ZATCA, Zakat, GOSI)
- Design and validate workflows, approval flows, access control matrices, and reporting templates
- Conduct gap analysis between standard Odoo functionality and client requirements
Technical & Customization Management
- Write and review functional specifications for custom module development
- Review Python-based custom module code, identify issues, and guide developers on best practices
- Manage custom module versioning, upgrade compatibility, and deployment across environments (dev/staging/prod)
- Perform basic Odoo customizations independently — field additions, view modifications, report templates, automated actions
- Oversee data migration strategies and validate migrated data quality
- Manage Odoo.sh or on-premise server environments with awareness of deployment pipelines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Certifications & Education
- Odoo Certified (Functional or Technical Certification required — must present certificate)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on Odoo implementation experience (v14, v16, or v17 preferred)
- Proven experience managing full-cycle Odoo projects from requirements to go-live
- Track record in presales activities — demos, scoping, proposals — not just delivery
- Experience working with offshore/back-office development teams and managing deliverables remotely
- Prior experience in KSA or GCC markets strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of Python and Odoo's ORM framework (enough to review and guide customization work)
- Proficiency in Odoo Studio, custom module structure, and XML/QWeb for report development
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases for data verification and troubleshooting
- Comfortable with version management on GitHub/GitLab and basic Linux server commands
- Ability to spec, test, and manage custom modules through their lifecycle including upgrades
Soft Skills & Other Requirements
- Arabic speaker — native or near-native fluency required for client-facing work in KSA
- Strong written and spoken English for internal coordination and documentation
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with attention to detail
- Self-driven and capable of working with limited supervision in a lean, high-growth team
PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE
- Exposure to other ERP platforms (SAP B1, Microsoft Dynamics) — useful for multi-product client conversations
- Experience with Odoo integration with third-party systems via REST APIs or custom connectors
- ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing implementation experience
- PMP or PRINCE2 project management certification
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Metabase) for post-ERP analytics delivery
