Job Description


SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE


:TheBilling Administrator will serve as the Subject Matter Expert and point of contact forallbilling-related rules, guidelines, rates,Ebillingportalsand reference documentationacross the organization.They will ensureadherence to contractual tier agreements anddiscounts, andalso collaborate with leaders across departments toidentifyand implement process improvements.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


:•   Acts as the point of contact for all staff membersrelativeto any billing related items, including but not limited to, timesheets, proformas, invoices, retainers, taxes, contracts, rates, staff roster, portals.•   Provides ongoing andtimely  internaland external communications to all teams and stakeholdersrelativeto new clients, client contracts, new and revised rates, any incoming staff members, internalpromotionsand terminations. •   Maintains the Billing Guidelines, Internal StaffRosterand Rate sheets to ensure that the billing team has the mostaccurateinformation necessary to properly process invoices.•   Updates the abbreviated expert guidelines and provides propercommunication of sameas necessary. •   Tracks contract obligations to ensure compliance with tiered billing agreements and discounts.•   Provides monthly reporting to clients as requested.•   Handles all external portal maintenance for proper expert rates and VMA rule adherence.•   Works proactively withTymetrixto ensure cases are set up as quickly as possible to halt delays in the billing process.•   Updatesebillingspreadsheet toidentifynew appeals and cases that are ready and properly set up within the portals to invoice•   Reactivelyidentifiesproblems andparticipatesin the development and implementation of solutions to correct same. •   And other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:


•   1+yearsexperiencewith contracts, ratepricingand oversight•   3+years experiencein performing invoicing &eBillingrelated duties / oversight•   Demonstrated capabilities as a highly effective communicator•   Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills•   Criticalthinking, time management, and organizational skills•   Ability to self-initiate and create momentum with partial guidance or information•   Knowledge of various Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) billing formats •   Ability to collaborate across departments at all levels of the organization•   Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, paying attention to details and meeting deadlines•   Ability to extract and manipulate data quickly and correctly•   Proactivelyidentifiesand actins ideas,anticipatesissues and opportunities,taking actionas appropriate•   Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development•   Advanced capabilities in MS Office•   Firm understanding of financial concepts such as WIP, AR/Collections, Cash Conversion Cycle etc.•   Teamwork, compassion, and respect toward others, in keeping with our 5 Guiding principles as well as integrity, accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct, and open and honest communication.

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS


: Work isgenerally performedin a typical office environment, with limited exposure to harsh weather conditions, loud internal or external noise, fumes, or significant temperature changes.Minimal, occasional travel may berequired.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS


: Work can involve lifting and carrying up to 10 -20 lbs.; frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching; occasional kneeling and stooping; operating office equipment; periodic driving likely; visual acuity to prepare, read, and organize detailed hard copy and electronic documents; ability to speak and to hear the spoken word in normal face-to-face, telephonic, and web-based business communications.  

WORK LOCATION:


Local to the general Chicago, IL area preferred but notrequired. Remote/In Office hybrid environment.*Above duties, skills, and responsibilities may be added, decreased, or changed to accommodate the company’s requirements.
