Trueline is seeking a Commercial/Retail
Superintendent to join their team in the greater Seattle area. This role focuses on leading occupied retail and grocery projects, offering a stable, team-driven environment with long-term career potential.

What You'll Do as the Superintendent:


  • Lead day-to-day field operations on active construction sites
  • Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics to keep projects on track
  • Oversee work in occupied retail environments with a strong focus on cleanliness and safety
  • Coordinate night work and phased construction to minimize disruption to operations
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project plans and specifications
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers and stakeholders on progress and issues
  • Maintain jobsite organization, safety compliance, and productivity
  • Support successful project delivery from start through completion

Must-Haves as the Superintendent:


  • 5+ years of superintendent or lead field experience in commercial construction
  • Experience with tenant improvement (TI), retail, or occupied renovation projects
  • Proven ability to run a jobsite independently and manage subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and site coordination
  • Ability to work in active, customer-facing environments with attention to detail
  • Stable work history (no frequent job hopping)

Nice-to-Haves as the Superintendent:


  • Experience with grocery store construction or remodels
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Washington or Oregon (project-dependent)
  • Experience with night work or phased construction in occupied spaces
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills

This Role Offers:


  • Base salary typically ranging from $120,000 to $130,000
  • Vehicle allowance ($450-$500/month) and gas card, with potential for company truck
