We have an opportunity to join a team of seasoned professionals at Hostetter Strent LLC, a Bethesda, Maryland based law firm specializing in family law. We are committed to providing clients with dedicated, compassionate, and high-quality service.

Job Summary


Hostetter Strent LLC is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant who will assist Attorneys & Partners by providing administrative and support services; assisting with day-to-day office operations; and supporting litigation activity.

Essential Functions


• Maintains attorney calendars; schedules consultations, meetings, events, conferences,and trainings.• Assist attorneys with litigation process, including pleading review, filing, discovery, and trial preparation.• Maintains and manages correspondence, pleadings, court logs, files etc.• Drafts, proofs, and edits correspondence, agreements, and other work products.• Answers phones and responds to general inquiries, including new client intake.• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Understanding of legal language and principles, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to function well in a high-paced, and at times stressful environment.• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Adobe Acrobat.

Education & Experience


• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree required.• At least 1 - 2 years of related experience preferred.
