The Village at Bunker Hill, managed by Moody National Management LP is currently looking for a Porter to join our team.

The Porter maintains property grounds in a neat, safe, and clean manner to enhance the attractiveness of the property and ensure the health and safety of residents.Essential Functions:• Cut lawns, trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls. • Water lawn and shrubs as necessary; monitor sprinkler systems to ensure they are operating at optimum levels. • Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs. • Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. • Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. • Shovel snow from walks and driveways; spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup. • Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks; paint fences and outbuildings. • Pick up trash on grounds and remove litter; rake and bag/burn leaves; clean out drainage ditches and culverts. • Report identified safety hazards to property management. • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and operable manner; make minor repairs; sharpen tools as necessary. • Assist with housekeeping tasks as assigned. • Other duties as assigned by management.Job Specifications:• Thorough working knowledge of all company and property policies, procedures, and standards related to property maintenance. • Ability to operate equipment and use tools in a safe manner and in accordance with operating or usage instructions.• Good written and verbal communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and organization skills.• Good command of the English language; second language proficiency desirable • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work• Ability to maintain customer focus• Excellent organizational  and planning skills• Excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to work well in a team environment• Ability to follow corporate and brand standards and procedures Experience and Education:• High School education or equivalent work experience. • At least 3 months experience in a comparable position.• Minimum training required per year as assigned by the company• Any additional training required by managerWork Environment:• This job operates in an apartment complex.

This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment.• Work days and work hours may vary.• This position works indoors and outdoors.  Must tolerate hot and cold weather.
