The Quality Assurance Engineer is a critical member of the ResiHome technology team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our software products and integrations. This role blends manual testing expertise with automated testing proficiency and a forward-thinking approach to AI-assisted quality practices. The ideal candidate is analytically sharp, deeply collaborative, and passionate about delivering software that works every time.

Key Responsibilities


Test Planning & StrategyDevelop comprehensive test plans and test cases grounded in business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for an automated, AI driven system.Identify testing scope, risk areas, and coverage gaps early in the development lifecycle.Collaborate with developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and define "done." Excellent communication will be critical to success.Maintain and continuously improve testing documentation, standards, and processes.Automated TestingDesign, build, and maintain automated test suites for regression, API, and integration testing utilizing AI toolsIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality gates.Select and advocate for appropriate test automation frameworks and tools for the team's stack.Monitor automated test results, triage failures, and keep the suite healthy and maintainable.Manual TestingExecute structured and exploratory manual test cases across web applications, APIs, and data integrations.Perform regression, functional, smoke, and user acceptance testing across release cycles.Document defects clearly and thoroughly, including steps to reproduce, environment details, and expected vs.

actual behavior.Validate business logic, edge cases, and end-to-end workflows with rigor and curiosity.AI-Assisted Quality PracticesLeverage AI tools to accelerate test case generation, defect triage, and coverage analysis.Stay current with emerging AI-powered testing tools and evaluate their applicability to ResiHome's workflows.Apply AI-assisted approaches to identify patterns in defect data and proactively surface systemic quality risks.Contribute to the team's evolving AI tooling strategy as a knowledgeable practitioner.Collaboration & CommunicationPartner closely with developers, product managers, and operations stakeholders throughout the SDLC.Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, contributing QA perspective to planning, grooming, and retrospectives.Communicate quality status, risk, and release readiness clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Foster a culture of shared quality ownership across the engineering team.

Job Requirements (including Education)


Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or AI-native testing platforms) in a QA context.3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance or testing role.Demonstrated proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies.Experience developing test plans and test cases from business requirements and user stories.Hands-on experience with at least one test automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, or similar).Solid understanding of API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications


Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, or system integrations (iPaaS/webhook-based).Exposure to real estate, or SaaS platforms is a plus.ISTQB certification or equivalent quality assurance credential.Experience with SQL and the ability to validate data at the database level.Work EnvironmentThis role is in-office 4 days a week at the company headquartersStandard schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional flexibility required during release windows or critical incidents.Collaborative team environment with regular interaction across engineering, product, and operations.Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.IND1
