Essential-Functions
The MTSS Facilitator is responsible for the safety and well-being of scholars with a focus onacademic and emotional growth, in addition the MTSS facilitator is responsible for serving anassigned group of scholars through the MTSS process as well as assisting school staff inmaintaining a climate conducive for learning. The MTSS coordinator manages the culture of thebuilding while establishing the case management process for scholars in tiers one and two.Responsibilities:• Case manages a group of assigned scholars in MTSS tiers one and two utilizing theNavigate 360 curriculum• Record and log interactions, document meetings and parental communications• Facilitate smooth transitions at the start and end of the school day and throughout the day.• Participate in training to understand cohesive implementation of the MTSS process.• Serve as the case manager for assigned scholars including behavior, attendance andacademic interventions.• Enforces the Code of Student Conduct and all school policies and procedures.• Intervene to minimize potential conflicts between students to prevent escalation ofsituations.• Participate in the implementation of the School Climate Plan.• Reinforce appropriate behavior with individual students.• Monitor student behavior during unstructured time.• Perform related work as required.• monitors in key areas of the hallways and near restrooms to provide support and ensuresafety.• Ensure staff are trained to handle emergencies in hallways and restrooms, includingmedical incidents or student conflicts.• Use of Safe Crisis Management training when intervening with scholars during physicalConflict.• Enforce Restorative practices training when intervening with scholars.REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:• Associate degree program at an accredited college or university or 60 credit hours in amatriculated status at an accredited college or university.• One year of full-time, paid or volunteer experience participating in community or schoolsdeveloping or implementing conflict resolution programs.OR• High school diploma or equivalent.• Two years of paid urban school experience implementing conflict resolution programs.Additional Qualifications:• Experience working in an urban school environment.• Acceptable criminal history background check and proof of U.S.

citizenship or legalresident alien status.• Bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and multi-cultural awareness.• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.• Utilize proper discretion in dealing with confidential matters.• Work well without close supervision and with little direction.• Be able to solve problems independently and manage projects alone.• Be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations 40000.00 To 50000.00 (USD) Annually
