We are seeking a Field Application Specialist to serve as the primary liaison for customers providing scientific, technical and application support, ensuring successful implementation and utilization of Invivoscribe products. S/he provides on-site and remote customer support for instrument installation, validation, and troubleshooting of Invivoscribe products across clinical, reference, and research laboratories.Headquartered in San Diego, with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia, Invivoscribe develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of molecular and flow cytometry assays, reagents, controls, and bioinformatics tools under ISO 13485 design control.
Our products and services support more than 700 clinical laboratories in over 160 countries.
Core Responsibilities
- Train laboratory personnel on end-to-end molecular workflows, from sample extraction through data analysis.
- Assist customers with nucleic acid extraction, concentration, quantitation and downstream NGS, PCR, dPCR and molecular workflows.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and work closely with internal Research & Development teams and product teams to resolve customer challenges.
- Partner with commercial team to support product demonstrations, evaluations, and pilot programs.
- Provide scientific expertise during beta testing and early adopter programs.
- Assist in developing application notes, protocols, and training materials.
- Support field sales teams by delivering technical presentations, workflow consultations, and product demonstrations.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field of study and, typically, 3+ years applicable experience in molecular biology, clinical diagnostics, or NGS workflows. Experience as a Field Application Specialist, Application Specialist, or technical support role is highly desired. Advanced degree is advantageous. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Skilled in supporting laboratory instrumentation or automation platforms.
- Skilled in nucleic acid extraction, quantitation, and sample preparation workflows.
- Skilled in qPCR and NGS workflows
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory environments (CLIA/CAP) is advantageous.
- Must reside within San Diego/Southern California.
