CAS Construction

Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting Client Accounting Services (CAS) teams that serve construction clients. Interns will support post‑transaction accounting activities, participate in reconciliations, assist with financial statement preparation, and observe client interactions to better understand how CAS supports construction clients after a transaction.
The intern will work closely with the CAS Construction team to understand how transactions flow through the general ledger, how reconciliations and financial packages are prepared, and how accounting teams partner with clients on an ongoing basis.This is the application for the San Antonio, TX office. Summer 2026 (June - August)

Internship Program both provide students with on-the-job training and real-world experiences. Interns get the opportunity to work with small, medium, and large clients and they will benefit from a diverse client base, one-on-one contact with clients and partners, and the opportunity to develop a solid general foundation.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support post‑transaction accounting activities, including recording transactions in the general ledger and assisting with account reconciliations under supervision.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and client‑ready financial packages.
  • Help organize and maintain accounting documentation and support routine monthly accounting processes.
  • Sit in on client meetings to observe how the CAS team partners with construction clients and communicates financial information.

  • Collaborate with team members to support ongoing client engagements and deliverables.

By the end of the internship, the intern should be able to:


  • Learn how CAS Construction teams support clients following transactions through accurate accounting, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Build foundational knowledge of construction accounting concepts and best practices.
  • Develop professional skills in communication, organization, and collaboration within a client‑service environment.

Qualifications


  • Accounting major
  • Currently enrolled in upper‑level accounting coursework
  • Likely a junior entering senior year during Summer 2026
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in client‑focused accounting work
  • Ability to work effectively in an in‑person and team‑based environment

$29 - $29 an hourSalary varies by internship and office location.
