Description
The Tax Analyst will support tax compliance and reporting activities with a focus on PIS/COFINS and Corporate Income Taxes, ensuring accurate calculations, proper tax treatment, and timely submission of obligations. The role involves analyzing tax impacts across revenues, costs, and expenses, supporting audits and tax planning initiatives, and collaborating closely with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure consistency and compliance, while monitoring legislative changes and contributing to process improvements and readiness for new tax requirements.
Responsabilities:
- Performing the calculation, review and compliance of PIS and COFINS, including tax credits analysis, input eligibility review, offset procedures, and preparation of EFD-Contribuições.
- Supporting the calculation and compliance of IRPJ and CSLL, deferred tax analysis, and preparation of ECF and related obligations.
- Analyzing tax impacts on revenues, costs and expenses to ensure proper tax treatment for PIS, COFINS, IRPJ and CSLL purposes.
- Reconciling tax accounts related to PIS, COFINS, IRPJ and CSLL with accounting records and supporting monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Preparing and reviewing tax returns and ancillary obligations (EFD-Contribuições, ECF, DCTF, PER/DCOMP and others related to the core taxes).
- Supporting tax audits, inspections and assessments related primarily to PIS, COFINS and Corporate Income Taxes.
- Assisting in tax planning initiatives, tax credit optimization and risk assessment related to the main taxes under responsibility.
- Collaborating with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure proper tax classification and compliance.
- Monitoring legislative changes and supporting the assessment of impacts arising from the Brazilian Tax Reform, contributing to the company’s readiness for new tax frameworks.
- Demonstrating interest in understanding other taxes beyond the core scope of the position, supporting the team whenever necessary and contributing to a broader tax perspective
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Law;
Experience:
- Experience with PIS, COFINS, IRPJ and CSLL;
