Job Overview
The Manager, Creative Resourcing (Design) at THE·TEAM is the central hub between designers, project managers, and producers across all of our creative offerings. Providing oversight to daily operations, resource scheduling and budgeting, they ensure we are creating high quality work on time and under budget..

What you'll do
This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented leader with operational precision and deep understanding of multi-disciplinary design knowledge and production processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused, with the ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships and make resourcing decisions that balance business needs with team growth and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assigns design team members across experiential, content, and integrated projects based on skillset, availability, capacity, and growth objectives
- Collaborates with Resource Managers, Project Managers, Design Directors, and department leads to understand project scopes, timelines, and unique demands across disciplines
- Manages daily studio schedules, oversees project lifecycles from briefing through delivery, and proactively addresses capacity issues
- Monitors and balances workloads across experiential design (physical builds, activations), content creation (video, social, digital), and integrated campaigns
- Advocates for the design team, balancing workload demands with individual growth and long-term development
- Obtains necessary creative and stakeholder approvals, navigating unique approval chains for different project types
- Monitors project progress and flags potential issues, providing solutions before they escalate
- Maintains and optimizes resourcing planning tools (Asana) to reflect real-time allocations and staffing projections
- Provides regular reporting on team utilization, availability, skills gaps, and studio performance metrics
- Tracks project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation with meticulous accuracy
- Assists in developing creative fee and budget estimates for projects
- Identifies need for specialized freelance talent across experiential, content, and integrated disciplines
- Collaborates with Creative Resourcing to source, hire, and onboard freelance and full-time creative talent
- Manages freelancer schedules, assignments, contracts, and performance feedback
- Builds and maintains a reliable network of freelance talent
- Acts as liaison between creative and design teams, project managers, clients, production partners, and stakeholders
- Facilitates clear communication around resourcing priorities, timelines, and project status
- Attends and contributes to weekly resourcing and project meetings
- Fosters positive team culture prioritizing both performance and well-being
Who you are:
- 3–6 years in design operations, studio management, project management, or resource management within a creative, marketing, or agency environment
- Understanding of experiential production, content production, and integrated campaign development
- Proficient in resource management platforms (Asana preferred) and project management software
- Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud and design production processes
- Comfortable with budget tracking and forecasting systems
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage complex workflows across multiple disciplines and meet strict deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing work, following processes, and maintaining accuracy
- Strategic thinking with ability to anticipate needs, identify problems early, and develop effective solutions
- Deep functional expertise in how creative production, resourcing, and project management interconnect
- Strong independent problem-solving with continuous improvement mindset
- Adaptability to navigate different demands and timelines across project types
Base salary range: $75 - 90K, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
