What’s the role?
AGDATA India is seeking an experienced Sr Product Owner to work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver platform and analytics capabilities that enable trusted data and actionable insights across the organization. This role goes beyond backlog management and focuses on product thinking, outcome-driven delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.You must be able to look at the big picture from both business and technology perspective, possess strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. You are not afraid of ambiguity, dealing with nebulous requirements, and get excited about difficult challenges.At AGDATA, you will work on platforms that power data-driven decision-making for global agriculture and animal health clients.

In this role, you will …
- Own and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for data platform and analytics capabilities.
- Translate business problems into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria focused on outcomes and value.
- Prioritize and manage a well-groomed backlog for a long-lived, cross-functional product team.
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, analytics, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Ensure data quality, enrichment, and analytics capabilities are trusted, usable, and embedded into workflows.
- Act as the primary product point of contact for stakeholders, providing clarity and transparency.
- Continuously gather feedback and usage insights to refine priorities and improve adoption.
Key Focus Areas:
Data Platform & Quality:
Drive initiatives related to data quality, enrichment, governance, and foundational data services. Define metrics, monitoring, and workflows that ensure data is reliable, auditable, and fit for downstream use.
Analytics & Insights:
Own embedded analytics experiences including KPIs, dashboards, and signals that support decision-making. Ensure analytics are intuitive, contextual, and aligned with consistent metric definitions.
Our ideal candidate will have…
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in technology-driven environments.
- Strong experience working with data platforms, analytics, or insight-driven products.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and modern product management techniques.
- Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with data analysis or BI tools.
- Ability to engage confidently with engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
