This internship will work 32 hours per week, beginning in early June and run 8 weeks through early August. The Intern will work onsite at our corporate headquarters in West Des Moines, IA.

Position Description:
The Event Specialist assists with the development and execution of travel programs for clients by supporting internal team members in achieving the overall goals for each event. This role involves assisting with the creation and tracking of key milestones during the event planning phase, focusing on internal activities that are critical to successful event execution. Responsibilities include preparing event specifications, managing timelines, planning site inspections, coordinating food and beverage arrangements, and organizing materials required for onsite support. Additionally, the Event Specialist is responsible for ensuring a positive attendee experience throughout both the event registration process and onsite execution.
Serving as the main point of contact for attendees, suppliers, and internal team members regarding attendee management, the Event Specialist supports registration efforts and assists Event Registration Managers and Event Managers in delivering successful events for ITA Group clients.
Position Requirements:
- Must be a current college student.
- In pursuit of a major related to Events or Event Management.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft and Google tools.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated business communication experience including strong written and verbal skills. The ability to interact with various people in a business-related settling is required.
- Business acumen with a driven, positive, and professional attitude and strong work ethic.
