About The Role
The CIX Commercial intern will support the Commercial team in market research, customer engagement, and supporting Relationship Managers in their daily activities. You will work closely with senior team members to prepare client materials, conduct research, and help maintain relationships that drive our commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Client Preparation & Support: Assist Relationship Managers in preparing meeting briefs, account plans, and presentation materials tailored to client segments and sustainability goals.
- Market & Client Research: Support research into client ESG commitments, sustainability strategies, and environmental footprints to identify collaboration opportunities.
- CRM & Data Management: Maintain and update client records, track interactions, and support reporting of sales activity.
- Sales Enablement: Help coordinate proposals, follow up on client requests, and support the development of tailored commercial offerings.
- Industry Insights: Monitor news, industry trends, and market developments in sustainability and carbon markets to inform client conversations.
- Operational Support: Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth client engagement processes.
Requirements
- Fast-learner, detail-oriented, an independent critical thinker and problem solver
- Independent with good project management skills
- A team player and has good interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial minded
- Has strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Some knowledge of programming languages (Python) and technologies is a plus
- Has an adventurous spirit and a positive attitude towards learning about the carbon space
- Is interested in sustainability and keen to make an impact in tackling climate change
- Is a self-starter, able to work across the team and organization to get stuff done
- Able to commit a minimum duration of 6-months on a full-time basis
