Join our team in Troy, MI as a Software Development Intern! Enjoy getting hands-on project experience that impacts day-to-day business operations with the support of a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate technology team. For 12 weeks you will participate in a defined training program that is self-guided with mentorship from the Development team.

You will work alongside the team to develop key initiatives and be a part of meaningful projects that contribute to the success of our business. 

Responsibilities


  • Participate in a defined self-guided training plan to understand, document, develop, and refactor projects in the 365 ecosystems. This includes APIs, backend server components, web applications and mobile applications.
  • Guide development work through agile release process, including pull requests, and communication with Quality Assurance Team.
  • Understand, document, and diagram existing 365 systems, and identify potential code antipatterns for refactoring.
  • Experience Pair and Mob programming with other team members and interns to solve problems collaboratively.
  • Use tools such as Sumologic, AWS, Azure Dev Ops, Instana, JIRA, Confluence, and Postman to monitor environments, track your tasks, and complete work.
  • Other tasks assigned by your supervisor. 

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and an eagerness to expand programming language knowledge
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
  • Keen interest in technology and a desire to learn about the self-checkout system industry

Salary Description$20/hour
