Position Overview


We are seeking a customer-focused In-Store Sales & Customer Experience Specialist to join our Indianapolis location. This role is responsible for assisting walk-in customers, managing incoming leads, preparing estimates and proposals, and maintaining consistent follow-up with prospects. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience while helping drive revenue growth.

Schedule


This is a full-time, in-store role with the following schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Every Other Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist and engage with walk-in customers in the showroom
  • Respond promptly to incoming leads and inquiries
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for prospective customers
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects who have not yet closed
  • Maintain detailed, organized client records
  • Support revenue growth through disciplined follow-up and excellent customer service
  • Learn and utilize internal software systems for accurate estimating, order processing, and client management
  • Occasionally visit customers’ homes to assist with product selection and take measurements for accurate estimates
  • Maintain a professional presentation and attention to detail during in-home visits
  • Continue developing product knowledge, installation understanding, and design expertise during downtime
  • Contribute ideas and content to support social media and marketing initiatives

Qualifications


  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple leads and follow-up tasks consistently
  • Comfortable learning and using internal software systems
  • Professional demeanor for both in-store and in-home customer interactions
  • Interest in product knowledge, design, and home improvement environments is preferred

Preferred Qualifications


  • Sales experience is helpful but not required; candidates with 1-2 years of sales or customer-facing experience are preferred
  • Interest in product knowledge, design, and home improvement environments

Work Environment


This role is primarily in-store at our Indianapolis showroom, with occasional in-home customer visits to support product selection and measurement for accurate project estimates.
