NOVA Engineering is seeking a motivated
 Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our growing Kennesaw, GA team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to build a long-term career, gain hands-on experience, and work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects across the Southeast.At NOVA, you won’t be stuck behind a desk all day. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of projects—commercial, industrial, transportation, government, and residential—while developing both your technical skills and project leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Operate and maintain geotechnical testing equipment.
  • Classify soil, rock, and geological samples obtained from drilling operations.
  • Assist in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
  • Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting data to clients under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
  • Interacts with client and project team.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation, is required
  • EIT license is required
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
