Position Overview
Hilco Real Estate (“HRE”) has an immediate opening in its Northbrook, IL office for an analyst to join its industry-leading commercial lease advisory/corporate restructuring team. HRE represents healthy, stressed and distressed multi-location tenants, providing strategic advisory and transactional services (including negotiating and repositioning over 80,000 leases over the past 20 years) and helping companies improve leverage and cash flow by minimizing costs and mitigating lease liability.The analyst would have primary responsibility for assisting in the support of our lease advisory team, working on Excel-based reports or deal submissions, modeling the project implementation of client engagements, and research.
We are seeking detail-oriented, highly organized candidates with a mastery of Excel and experience with CRM (for lease/portfolio data compilation & analysis); a team member with this skillset will enhance the efficiency and productivity of Hilco Real Estate’s associate analysts and deal-making teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Functions: Providing analytical & quality control support to the lease advisory team, assisting senior analysts with day-to-day tasks, including project documentation and administrative support.
- Reporting & Visualization: Assisting with creation of charts and deal presentations as part of senior negotiator and deal leader’s client updates
- Capture and accurately summarize information, supporting informed business decisions to optimize client relationships and maintain a strong presence in the marketplace
- Collaboration: Working with team members to achieve engagement goals.
- A variety of other supportive analytical, administrative and transaction-specific projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Fluent with Microsoft Office suite with high proficiency in Excel with the ability to quickly dissect, comprehend, and present relevant data. Familiarity/experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
- Education: A bachelor's degree is required. Background in real estate, finance, accounting, business, or legal field is a plus.
- Research Skills: Ability to gather information about a topic, review that information and analyze and interpret the details in a way to support a solution.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and effective communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking abilities, with proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work effectively in teams
- Self-confidence and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with tight deadlines.
- A desire and capacity to support the ongoing client management process.
Annual base salary gross: $60,000-$80,000. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of Hilco’s salary for this position based on geography. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of Hilco’s total compensation package for employees.
