  • Digital Accessibility: Implement UX best practices for accessibility, including high-contrast text overlays, closed captioning, and readable font scales for mobile viewers.
  • Interactive Design: Develop motion assets intended for web and app interfaces, such as looping micro-interactions, animated UI components, and interactive overlays for touchscreens.
  • Asset Management: Maintain organised video and design archives, ensuring proper version control and file management for collaborative workflows.
  • Industry & Tech Trends: Stay current with trends in industrial storytelling, 3D visualisation, drone footage, and emerging UI/UX design tools.
  • Brand Integrity: Ensure all visual content aligns with Barloworld Equipment brand guidelines and strictly complies with Caterpillar co-branding and UI standards.
  • High-impact marketing and social media videos (LinkedIn, YouTube) optimised for digital engagement and lead generation.
  • Technical motion graphics and 3D visualisations that simplify complex heavy machinery features and service overviews for customers.
  • Interactive UI components and micro-animations (e.g. Lottie files, overlays) designed for web, mobile apps, and touchscreen displays.
  • UX-driven storyboards and wireframes that map out user journeys and content flow before final production.
  • Brand-compliant design assets ensuring strict adherence to Barloworld and Caterpillar co-branding and visual identity guidelines.
  • Polished internal and event content, including technical training modules, exhibition "sizzle reels", and site-visit case studies.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies


  • Diploma or degree in Multimedia Design, Video Production, Animation, or a related field.
  • Advantageous: Post graduate degree in marketing, communications or psychology
  • Three+ years of proven experience in video editing and motion graphics, preferably in a B2B, industrial, or technical environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with 3D animation (Cinema 4D, Blender) or CAD-to-animation pipeline is an advantage.
  • Experience with filming equipment, lighting setups, drones (optional), and on-site shooting protocols.
