Momentum Financials Business Analyst
2ndWave LLC (2ndWave) is seeking a Momentum Financials Business Analyst tosupport a federal financial management environment and will focus on leading requirements gathering efforts related to interfaces, data conversion, and data cleanse activities within a large-scale ERP implementation or enhancement initiative.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting large-scale data conversions, understands federal financial management business processes (with acquisitions knowledge strongly preferred), and can write and execute SQL statements to analyze, validate, and reconcile system data.
This is a high-visibility role requiring strong analytical capability, structured thinking, and the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead elicitation of requirements from end-users for system interfaces, data conversion, and data cleanse activities.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze legacy and target system data; perform reconciliation activities to validate data integrity and completeness.
- Support and coordinate interface development and data conversion decisions to ensure consistency with business requirements, federal regulations, and client expectations.
- Work directly with developers, database administrators, and other technical specialists to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Develop and execute functional test plans, test scenarios, and validation documentation for interface and conversion requirements.
- Monitor, track, and troubleshoot application and data issues; analyze incidents and collaborate with technical teams to resolve defects.
- Develop data conversion and data cleanse plans, including validation and verification approaches.
- Implement quality assurance standards and software development best practices.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training related to interface and data conversion processes.
- Support Agile ceremonies and collaborate across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment and delivery.
- May mentor junior analysts and support process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or additional relevant experience in lieu of education.
- Experience as a Business/Systems Analyst supporting Momentum Financials.
- Experience working with the Momentum Financials front-end and database.
- Experience supporting interfaces and/or large-scale data conversion efforts.
- Ability to write and execute SQL statements for data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Must have the ability to pass a Tier 2 MBI background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal financial management systems.
- Acquisitions subject matter expertise.
- Experience working in an Agile environment or familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience leading functional testing and user acceptance validation activities.
- Experience implementing ERP best practices and supporting COTS configurations.
