The

Private Equity(PE)


Client Associate owns and manages a defined portfolio of client accounts. They are responsible for developing new and existing private equity and portfolio company relationships. They are accountable for the overall account health and opportunity origination. This role regularly executes outbound plays to the firm’s PE community and their portfolio companies by leveraging intellectual property and leadership events (e.g., knowledge-sharing and networking events, peer roundtables, research and benchmarking).

This role works closely with our PE practice team to execute a defined set of outbound and account management plays that generate firm awareness, activate our PE community, generate new conversations, and originate project opportunities with PE firms and their portfolio companies. Success requires creativity and diligence in executing outbound motions, building new relationships, managing existing relationships, understanding and nurturing the private equity community, and articulating Alexander Group’s value proposition and capabilities.

Responsibilities:


  • Generating engagement with PE-backed portfolio companies through customized outreach and marketing campaigns featuring Alexander Group consulting services, research studies, and leadership events
  • Establishing new relationships and nurturing an existing set of PE firm contact-level relationships by delivering value-added resources through tailored and programmatic outbound
  • Running coordinated outreach that aligns with go-to-market challenges typical in PE-backed environments
  • Mapping and prioritizing portfolio companies within key PE firms
  • Curating PE firm contacts within assigned accounts
  • Building and applying strong knowledge of industry trends, target firms, portfolio composition, and key contacts
  • Collaborating and strategizing with internal practice leaders
  • Coordinating communication between senior executives and industry practice team(s)
  • Relationship building and nurturing
  • Achieving individual performance metrics including generating a consistent volume of quality conversations with target senior executives and originating qualified project pipeline

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five years of experience and a proven track record in business development, sales, or account management in business-to-business markets
  • High EQ, strong listening and organizational skills, and professional maturity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish relationships with senior executives
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture relationships leveraging outbound campaigns and relationship management
  • Track record of producing qualified sales pipeline

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000; bonus eligibleEEO Employer. Required Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. at the time of application with no current or future restrictions or visa sponsorship necessary.TN visa accepted.Salary DescriptionSalary: $70,000-90,000. Bonus eligible
