About the role:
The Full Stack Engineer on the Duro Design team builds and ships product experiences that hardware engineers rely on every day. You’ll work across our modern stack—from frontend interfaces to backend architecture—to deliver elegant, performant, and scalable solutions. This role partners closely with product, design, and engineering teammates in a fast-moving, highly autonomous environment.We’re looking for engineers who think end-to-end, embrace experimentation, and leverage modern AI-powered workflows to move with speed and precision.
This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA (3 days per week in office).
A day in the life of our Full Stack Engineer:
Feature Ownership:
Decompose product requirements into well-structured tasks and own delivery from concept through production release.
Full Stack Development:
Build across our stack (TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, Apollo GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS) to deliver scalable, high-quality software.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product and design teams to translate user needs into thoughtful, intuitive, and performant experiences.
End-to-End Thinking:
Architect, implement, test, deploy, and measure features with a focus on long-term maintainability and system integrity.
Experimentation & Analytics:
Instrument features using PostHog, run experiments, analyze real user data, and iterate based on measurable outcomes.
AI-Driven Engineering:
Leverage modern AI development workflows to increase velocity, structure context effectively, and deliver production-ready systems.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to refine architecture, improve performance, and scale systems while maintaining engineering excellence.
Who We’re Looking For
Required:5–12 years of professional software engineering experience with a demonstrated track record of shipping production-grade productsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldStrong foundation in TypeScript and ReactExperience working with design systems such as Ant Design, Material UI, or similarBackend experience with Node.js, NestJS, and GraphQLExperience working with PostgreSQL and ORMs such as TypeORM or PrismaStrong architectural thinking and ability to design scalable systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComfort operating in autonomous, fast-paced environmentsA product mindset with the ability to navigate the full feature lifecycleNice to Have:Experience building PLM, PDM, or hardware/manufacturing industry softwareBackground with AWS infrastructureExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, or TerraformFamiliarity with event-driven systems (NATS, Redis, Kafka)Testing experience using Vitest, Jest, or PlaywrightExperience working in AI-augmented development environments

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $164,000 to $178,000 annually. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week in our Los Angeles office)
