The Social Media Senior Manager is responsible for setting social media strategy and managing community management, and content creation and publishing for all social platforms that are part of a brand’s social media strategy (platforms may include Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, X, TikTok and LinkedIn). Social media programs may be stand-alone or part of integrated marketing communications programs (influencer marketing, public relations and advertising), requiring the ability to collaborate with a team and integrate marketing objectives and creative campaigns into social media activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities as Social Media Senior Manager
- Work with the team lead to plan, define, complete and deliver the social media components of client projects on time and on budget
- Set a social media strategy that aligns with overall marketing communications goals
- Supervise and manage development of social media content calendars for platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok
- Supervise scheduling and publishing of content on native platforms and through scheduling tools
- Engage with followers and fans in online communities
- Manage reporting and measurement for client programs
- Consistently bring creative ideas and solutions to social media content and campaigns
- Conduct social media audits and assessments using third-party social media tools and native platform insights
- Work closely in conjunction with the Account Management, Project Management, PR/Content, Integrated Media and Creative teams and directors to ensure an integrated program and seamless project workflow
- Assist in overseeing project quality to ensure highest-quality deliverables
Requirements
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in an agency setting or similar environment
- Ability to create and execute a strategic social media plan
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day social media content and engage with audiences to grow brand, product or message awareness
- Ability to manage social media measurement reports, interpret findings and adapt program for best results
- Social Listening experience preferred
- Strong understanding of social media’s role in integrated marketing communications programs
- Strong writing skills mandatory, demonstrating an ability to write for all social media platforms
- Good presentation skills
- Familiarity with third-party social media management platforms a plus, including Sprout, Hootsuite and Sprinklr
- Bachelor’s degree
