Senior FOIA Analyst at TechOp Solutions International

Description

TechOp Solutions is seeking a remote Senior FOIA Analyst provides advanced Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) processing support to our government client. This role performs cradle-to-grave processing of FOIA requests, including analysis, records coordination, redaction, exemption application, and response preparation, while ensuring compliance with FOIA statute, the Privacy Act, Department of Justice (DOJ)

Perform end-to-end processing of FOIA requests from intake through final response preparation.

Analyze requests to determine scope, complexity, and routing requirements.

Coordinate with program offices to identify and obtain responsive records.

Identify operational risks,, and compliance issues and coordinate corrective actions with Government stakeholders.

Mentors Junior Analyst

Performs additional duties as assigned.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of successful FOIA request processing within the last 48 months.

In-depth understanding of DOJ FOIA reporting standards and compliant submission processes.

Bachelor’s degree.

Advanced proficiency in interpreting and applying FOIA exemptions consistent with Department of Justice guidance and governing FOIA legislation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with leadership.
