About Our Search
We’re seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to lead the construction phase of large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, podium, wrap, and high-rise residential projects nationwide. This role is critical to ensuring that design intent translates seamlessly into reality. You’ll serve as the central connector between our design teams, ownership groups, consultants, and general contractors—guiding complex projects through construction with clarity and technical acumen.
About the Position
- Manage the construction phase for multifamily and mixed-use projects ranging from slab-on-grade to high-rise.
- Serve as the primary liaison between architects, engineers, specialty consultants, owners, contractors, and field teams.
- Oversee RFI responses, submittal reviews, change orders, ASIs, and addenda with accuracy and urgency.
- Conduct site visits, prepare detailed field observation reports, and proactively identify risk.
- Evaluate pay applications and monitor construction budgets against contract documents.
- Attend OAC meetings and support conflict resolution in fast-paced jobsite environments.
- Maintain design integrity while balancing schedule, cost, constructability, and code compliance.
- Collaborate closely with internal design and technical teams to resolve detailing and coordination challenges.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
- 10-15 years of experience, with significant CA leadership on complex multifamily or mixed-use projects.
- Registered Architect preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, envelope detailing, life-safety concerns, and code compliance.
- Experience with podium/wrapper construction, wood-over-concrete, high-rise residential, or mixed-use developments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction contract administration and AIA documentation.
- Proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of Procore, Newforma, and Bluebeam.
- Confident communicator who thrives in contractor meetings and field environments.
- Detail-oriented, decisive, and solutions-driven.

Maryland Statement
The projected base salary for this full-time position is $94,000 - $120,000. Hord Coplan Macht’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, as well as the individual’s education, experience, and skillsets. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of HCM’s total compensation package for employees.
