OVERVIEW:


On site Lead Technician for full integration and directs activities of site engaged in commissioning and integration projects of telecommunications sites. Accountable for all assigned activities concerned with Job Work Orders and related services. Implements quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of services, consistent with established standards. All of this is accomplished by performing the following duties personally or through teaming with other employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead Technician of the C&I Crew accountable for full quality integration of site(s) assigned.
  • Provides suggestions and recommendations process improvements and training opportunities.
  • Provides suggestions and recommendations for production, efficiency or process changes.
  • Completes site performance readiness check list.
  • Sets and adjusts quality enhancements.
  • Scope of Work (SOW) – Full understanding of a job or project SOW. Ability to write a detailed SOW, if required.
  • Method of Procedure (MOP) - Ability to develop and write a detailed and concise Method of Procedure (MOP) for a job/project.
  • Fulfillment of planed work assigned for site in accordance set by C&I Management Group.
  • Determines proper project techniques for assigned work.
  • Maintains job records for use in managing or control.
  • Determines materials, equipment and tools to be used for assigned projects.
  • Reads, interprets, and builds according to design site plans and layouts.
  • Controls the flow and distribution of materials and supplies.
  • Meets or exceeds communicated project budgets.
  • inputs all data in Betacom tools (Site Manager) and customer tools.
  • Provides safety and security of company assets.
  • Performs inspection of entire installs. Troubleshoots problems with installs. Captures and provides close out packages.
  • Escalation point for complaints and grievances according to company policy and lawfully.
  • Safety protocols - Takes full responsibility for onsite safety. Ensures crew is in compliance with company and customer safety requirements. Inspects all tools and rigging gear to ensure they are safe to use.
  • Reports any workers’ comp injuries or other incidents.
  • Other closely related work may include physical tasks and menial tasks such as; timesheet and other recordkeeping, completing Job Safety Analysis, adjusting equipment and tools, complying data to create documents or reports and presentations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Highly proficient with the knowledge, skills and abilities in all aspects of civil construction. 
  • Ability to train and supervise other employees in below areas:
  • Various C&I activities, including, but not limited to: Performing pre-commission, commissioning, integration, and upgrades to cell site equipment (Ericsson, Samsung, Alcatel Lucent and Nokia Equipment.), powering up equipment and testing, software configurations, call testing, alarm troubleshooting.
  • Safety policies and procedures as related to job safety, equipment safety and personnel protective equipment (PPE).
  • Preoperational safety checks on equipment and vehicles prior to use, maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles in proper working condition.
  • Completion of time sheets and mileage reports, review of time sheets for accuracy and completeness, submit daily construction reports to department.
  • Secondary power electrical system troubleshooting, repair, and basic installation.
  • Responsible for equipment powered up and testing in a standalone environment including cable connections.
  • Performing of software installations and ensuring the correct configurations are loaded into the equipment.
  • Performing testing and ensuring cell site is connected to the network and integrated to become a functional part of customers network.
  • Perform alarm clearing, call testing, and PIM and Sweep testing if required.
  • Perform final punch and closeout/on air readiness documentation.
  • Tracking daily progress through written reports and verbal communication.
  • Validating completed work to ensure it meets job design/build requirements.
  • Maintaining clean worksite and professional attitude and demeanor as a representative of Betacom Incorporated.
  • Excellent communication skills, reading and writing skills (English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
  • Ability to lift over 70 pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 3-7 years' experience and In-depth knowledge of Cell Site Commissioning and integration.
  • Strong working knowledge of RF wireless technologies and products.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Windows products and databases.
  • Working knowledge of vendor EMS.
  • Experience integrating and troubleshoot all components of Wireless and Fixed network.
  • OSHA 10 certified preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certified preferred
