Position Summary:
Mohawk Global is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to prospect and secure new business in the Toronto / Mississauga territory. This is a pure hunter role to drive new business acquisition for our international freight forwarding and customs brokerage services across all modes (air, ocean, and cross-border). This role is 100% focused on new client generation; no account management or upselling to existing clients.The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated professional with a strong understanding of international trade and transportation.
They will also support cross-selling opportunities for trade consulting and truck brokerage services, acting as a secondary sales resource and handing off qualified leads to the respective service teams.This is an excellent opportunity for the successful individual to help position us for strategic, long-term growth and expand Mohawk’s portfolio in the Canadian market by identifying and onboarding new clients, while continuing to provide the required first-class service that our existing client base has come to rely for on their most critical logistics needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Close new clients for international freight forwarding and customs brokerage services.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Educate prospects on Mohawk Global’s capabilities, with a focus on compliance, reliability, and global reach.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams to cross-sell trade consulting and truck brokerage services, ensuring smooth lead handoff.
- Maintain detailed records of prospecting activity and lead status in CRM.
- Represent Mohawk Global at trade shows, seminars, and networking events as needed
- Stay current on international trade regulations, logistics trends, and compliance best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in B2B freight forwarding, and customs brokerage sales
- Deep understanding of global trade, transportation modes, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Hunter mentality with a passion for building new relationships and closing deals.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools. SalesForce experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field preferred.
