Atlanta – You will work 40 hours per week during the Summer from May 18th - July 24th.
Job Summary:
As a Juvare Summer Intern, you'll work closely with others to tackle challenges and engage with advanced technologies in emergency management and preparedness. Your contributions to the design, development, testing, implementation, and upkeep of our software systems will positively affect millions worldwide. Your main duties include:
- Building relationships with fellow intern peers, various technical teams at Juvare, and organizational leaders.
- Growing your skills with personalized mentoring from your assigned coach throughout the summer.
- Participating in ongoing technical projects or initiatives, guided by your intern coach.
- Suggesting fresh and creative approaches to address current business and technical issues.
- Joining professional development sessions led by Juvare leaders to gain insight into how technical roles drive better business outcomes.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical major
- Basic scripting or automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows and fundamental system/networking concepts
- Exposure to cloud providers and DevOps tooling, such as:
- AWS/Azure/GCP
- Git/GitLab, CI/CD Pipelines, automation, and deployment processes
- Logging and Monitoring (Datadog)
- Databases (SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB)
- Bonus: Kubernetes, containerized workloads, cloud-agnostics
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven service and leadership via projects, jobs, or internships
- Passion for technology, emerging trends like AI, and applying tech solutions to real-world challenges
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
