ROLE SUMMARY
The Investment Associate plays a critical role in supporting the implementation of investment strategies across client portfolios, ensuring precision in research, reporting, and portfolio oversight. This position is designed for a detail-oriented and intellectually curious professional seeking to deepen expertise within a collaborative, high-integrity environment.Associates partner closely with senior investment professionals and client advisors to deliver thoughtful, data-driven recommendations that reflect Heritage’s personalized, long-term approach to wealth management.
Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to synthesize complex information across diverse asset classes and planning contexts.As part of Heritage’s investment team, this role contributes to firmwide initiatives that uphold our commitment to excellence and client-centric solutions. The Investment Associate reports to senior members of the investment group and works in alignment with broader strategic objectives, providing a foundation for a meaningful career in investment advisory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in general client operations rotation.
- Implement portfolio management processes, including classifying securities, onboarding clients, and driving actions based on cash and equity allocations, bond maturities, and other reports. Provide trade recommendations for approval to be executed.
- Contribute to Firmwide trades by updating portfolio models and preparing block orders and allocation files for approval to be executed.
- Prepare client performance reports, meeting presentations, and investment proposals.
- Gather information and analyze businesses, managers, sectors, and asset classes across public and private markets.
- Maintain and update portfolio models, factsheets, manager reports, and meeting deliverable templates. Prepare Heritage Private Fund and other private investment reporting.
- Assist with preparation of Investment Policy Committee materials.
- Assist with coordination of internal education calls.
- Use CRM tools to document execution of portfolio management and investment processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; finance, accounting, economics, business management, or math preferred.
- CFA designation or active progress toward designation is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Tamarac, Fidelity Wealthscape, Schwab Advisor Services, and CRM systems preferred.
- Experience with AI agents or intelligent automation tools.[MD1]
