- Represent Adams Street Partners' full product line and develop and maintain world-class relationships with research, field consultants, and senior executives at investment consulting firms within assigned geography
- Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned investment consulting firms, including their business strategy and competitors, client roster, key decision-makers/influencers and their biases, manager selection process, and communication preferences
- Generate buy-ratings and effectively position the firm’s investment strategies and services
- Proactively identify business development opportunities within a consultant’s client roster and coordinate with relevant institutional sales colleagues to target and close the opportunities
- Leverage communication opportunities with clients and prospects to further Adams Street Partners' brand by representing the firm as a consultative thought leader, presenter/speaker, and contributor to content pieces.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the consultant relationship through the introduction of relevant investment professionals and timely thought leadership
- Consistently document interaction with consultants in the firm’s CRM system
- Cultivate strong internal relationships and stay current on firm strategy, investments, and competitive landscape.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree. MBA and/or CFA will be viewed favorably
- A demonstrable track record of raising assets with consultants, institutional investors, wealth channel
- Solid private markets experience is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of assigned investment consulting firms with an ability to understand the perspective of different types of client organizations
- Proven ability to establish and execute on a sales strategy
- Strong relationship development and management skills
- Bring a total portfolio perspective and ability to speak credibly about new investments and developments within clients’ portfolios
- Highest degree of integrity and professionalism
